The driving team play an integral part in delivering milk to many of the leading supermarkets and varied convenience stores. The successful candidate should be an efficient self starter, be customer focused and possess a current driving licence and an LGV ‘C’/ E licence, a copy of which should be included with your application. All applicants must have at least 3 parts completed of their Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

These positions are hourly paid and applicants will work 5 out of 7 days, on a rota shift basis, weekend work will be required.

This is a permanent position and attract the following benefits –

• Competitive rates of pay - £23.000- £29.000 per annum
• 25 days holiday plus 8 days public holiday & service related holidays
• Company pension scheme
• Job security and career progression
• Time and a half for Saturday working, double time for Sunday working
• Overtime rates after the basic 39 hours
• Company uniform

Working in a fast moving, quality driven and chilled environment, you will be a member of the operative team. The main responsibilities of this position being to ensure the filling levels, containers, labels, caps, codes and heat seals are of a high quality. You will record appropriate production figures and any issues which may occur. The successful candidate should be self efficient, flexible and a team worker.

Shift Manager

Working as a member of the Distribution Management team, your main responsibilities will be to control all aspects of the day to day running of a world class depot, whilst ensuring the highest quality, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained by continuous improvement and the recruitment, control and motivation of staff within the driving, chill and yard functions. Your performance will be measured by agreed KPI targets.

Essential Skills/ Experience for this role-

• Supervisory/Management Experience within a Warehousing / Logistics Environment, preferably chilled, food or FMCG (warehousing and/ or transport).
• ERP or Supply Chain System experience i.e. AS400, Oracle, SAP
• Computer Literate
• Must be flexible in relation to working hours as the successful candidate will be required to work various shift patterns (Days, Nights, Weekends)
• Be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
• Hold a valid and clean car driving licence
• Be able to work unsupervised and on own initiative (either individually or as part of a team)
• Be able to work in a chilled environment
• Must be able to maintain the highest standards of H & S and the associated behaviours to achieve this
• Actively support and drive performance improvement of Operational KPIs
• Must always act as a role model, visibly displaying the Company Values

Applicants should also have excellent organisational, communicational and leadership skills, and have a proven track record within a similar fast-moving distribution environment.
